FAQs

  • I founded LeadTeam to support school leaders. The job is hard—I’ve been there. Often, it would’ve been nice to have an extra hand not only for planning and research but also for execution.

  • We offer three services for school leaders: Advancement Consulting, Project Management, and School Partner Search.

  • We customize our services based on your needs on a project basis. We’ll scope out the work to be done with you and provide a quote. We believe in providing strong value. We also want to work with a range of schools. We are happy to discuss a project, share a quote, or work to help find the right partner for your needs. Reach out anytime, we are here for you.

  • School Partner Search is the process of searching for and selecting the right school consultant/vendor for your needs. We facilitate the process for you—creating a list of potential partners, writing the RFP, sourcing proposals, and leading the process from start to finish.

  • We help with a range of needs, from developing your strategy for an annual fund or admission campaign to serving as a fractional leader on your team to creating the copy and art for a specific event. With 20+ years of advancement experience, we can support you in many areas, and if we can’t, we can help you find the right partner.

  • With Project Management, we can support your internal team or committee with a specific project by helping plan the schedule, coordinate the meetings, and keep everyone focused on the task at hand through to completion. When working with external partners, we can also sit between you and the consultants to ensure everyone is on the same page and doing their part.

  • We’ve worked with small to medium-sized private schools, as those schools typically don’t have a large staff and benefit from hiring an experienced independent school leader to support their work.

  • I’m an independent school graduate and worked in leadership roles at four different schools. I’m also a current independent school parent.

  • I’m a former Director of Admission and Financial Aid, Director of Development, and Assistant Head of School for Advancement and External Affairs. I also worked as the Director of Business Development at a large private school consulting firm.

  • I served mostly in midsize to large K–12 day schools. I also worked for a grade 9–12 international boarding school in Switzerland and an infant–grade 8 day school.

  • I’ve been an advisor, a coach, a bus driver, a snow remover, a visiting accreditation team member, a school-wide committee chair, and a member of numerous Board committees.

If we can fall in love with serving people, creating value, solving problems, building valuable connections and doing work that matters, it makes it far more likely we’re going to do important work.
